Latest Techniques

Day Case Knee Replacement Surgery: Mr Barkatali has pioneered the ground breaking approach to knee replacement surgery, where the patient can be discharged the same day. Our amazing patient Tracey (above) left the hospital at 5pm! This cutting edge approach involves the latest techniques in surgery, anaesthesia and teamwork, and is amazing for the patient, who is walking only hours after the surgery.

Quads ACL Reconstruction:
Mr Barkatali is passionate about ACL surgery and has developed the use of the Quad tendon to perform ACL reconstruction. This has the benefits of sparing the hamstrings muscles, which are very important and also is less invasive than the Patellar tendon graft.
